The Southasia Peace Action Network calls for an interfaith global vigil this Sunday, 12 Nov., to envision/pray for an end to the violence at home and elsewhere, for a ceasefire in Gaza, and for hostages and child prisoners to be freed.
Anyone can join regardless of their faith -- or lack thereof -- and focus on positive energy, love, and compassion.
Sunday is Diwali, mythically a day of peace. Many may be at church during that time. Or at a protest for peace, or at a family lunch.
How to participate:
1. Set a timer - earmark 10-15 minutes whenever you may be between 10 am-12 noon in your own time zone.
2. You may be on your own or with family and friends, or in a religious congregation of any faith.
3. Take 10-15 minutes to breathe, pray, or meditate, however you choose. Envisage an end to violence at home and abroad. You can pray, tap, chant, or just be. Be for peace. #Be4Peace
