Junior Choreographer Program Application
Tippy Toe Dance Studio is thrilled to announce we are once again offering our Junior Choreography Internship Program as part of our Friday Dance Club! This unique program is a wonderful opportunity for dancers who are interested in choreographing or simply taking dance to the next level. It's a great addition to any resume or college application! Originally offered as a class in the early years of Tippy Toe, many of our alumni have taken the skills learned in this program to go on to dance professionally, become dance instructors themselves, and choreograph for productions outside of the studio.

Students will also be expected to complete practical hours in studio rehearsals or at home. During class, we'll explore the process of creating choreography in a variety of styles - ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, broadway, and more! Dancers in this class will intern for the studio during the TTDS performances throughout the year, learning all aspects of production. Class is taught by multiple TTDS staff with occasional guest speakers.

The cost of tuition can be offset by participating as an assistant in studio classes or in the office. Please speak with Miss Becca or Miss Nicole if you are interested in becoming an assistant. Spots are limited.

We believe we have some amazing young artists at our studio! Dancers who complete this program will be eligible for additional choreography experiences and paid job opportunities at the studio.

For this class, you will need:
  • active dedication in both attendance & project participation
  • availability for outside-class hours at the studio or at home
  • to be open & ready to jump into trying something new!

You will learn:
  • the history of famous choreographers, their methods, & their mark on the dance world
  • how to hone your own individual choreographic style
  • musicality & counts
  • formations & staging
  • pantomime & storytelling
  • problem-solving skills
  • leadership skills
  • much, much more!
