Important Field Trip information - Please read carefully.

Cost: Per Student Cost- $50 (PAYMENT IS DUE BY March 5th , 2024 USING THE SITE→ https://www.graystoneday.org/Trips.aspx). THE PERMISSION FORM CAN BE FILLED OUT BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE.

Sixth grade students will participate in a field trip to the Timothy S.Y. Lam Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University. The Lam Museum offers a variety of hands-on curriculum-based programs for grades K through 12. We will be focusing on The Americas. The Americas were home to several ancient civilizations. Using images, hands-on artifacts, activities, and discussion, students will learn about the religions, achievements, arts, governments, rise and decline, and lasting influence of the Maya and Inca empires.

Two charter buses will be taken to the location.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedure

Students must be in their classroom no later than 7:30 AM! You can drop off students between 7:15-7:30.
Students should report to their advisory class.
Buses will load at 7:45AM and leave the school at 8:00AM
Return to school at 3:30PM
Bring your own drinks and bag lunches.
Parents pick students up at 3:30PM.
Students will retrieve anything from classrooms then wait in front of the building for their rides (no walkies unless inclement weather).
All chaperones will be staff members.
