Honouring individuals in public service who have distinguished themselves through their professional achievements in the public sector.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 7, 2022
ELIGIBILITY: Any individual who has inspired creativity, innovation and believes in the merits of delivering public service excellence.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Award is to bring attention to the achievements of individuals who complement the tenets of the Western University Local Government Program, specifically within the areas of customer service, citizen-focus, fiscal accountability, results orientation, leadership and collaboration. Nominees should be individuals that have a demonstrated track record of professional development, career advancement, ethical leadership, mentorship, and accountable service delivery.
An individual may nominate themselves and/or submit more than one application for the Award of Excellence. All nominations submitted will be considered by the Award of Excellence committee, comprised of public sector practitioners and academics.
AWARD PRESENTATION: The presentation of the Local Government Program Alumni Society Award of Excellence will be made at the Local Government Program Alumni Society Annual Conference. The awards reception will take place at 7 p.m. on November 9 at the Stoneridge Inn and Conference Centre, London. The Local Government Conference will be held November 10 at the same location.
