This Sense-Making Session on Placemaking with Funders is part of a series hosted by the Healthy Communities Initiative in partnership with Happy Cities. The Sense-Making Sessions are small group discussions designed for anyone involved in facilitating placemaking and community-led initiatives and also for other key stakeholders involved in supporting these opportunities (e.g. funders).
These sessions are an opportunity to build collective wisdom around the role of placemaking in enhancing social connection, belonging and wellbeing.
Each session aims to explore and deepen the understanding of the relationships between place, community, and wellbeing from a particular lens or theme. The insights from these sessions will contribute to a broader piece of research, experience and personal stories that aims to make the case for the value of placemaking. This will be shared with all participants in the fall 2023.
