Pre-K Counts Interest Survey

The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) anticipates continuing to operate a Pre-K Counts classroom within the Conrad Weiser School District at Bethany Children's Home school for the 2023-2024 school year. The BCIU is currently gathering information to secure grant funding as part of the Pre-K Counts state 5-year rebid process. The BCIU has maintained the Pre-K Counts grant for more than 7 years. As Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro, proposed an additional $30 million for Pre-K programs in his 2023-2024 budget, the BCIU is optimistic in their attempt to secure the grant. This will allow the BCIU to continue to provide Pre-K Counts classrooms at Bethany Children's Home as well as within other locations throughout Berks County.

At this stage of the application process, the BCIU is gathering family interest and eligibility for the Pre-K Counts Program.  Please review the information below regarding the Pre-K Counts Program and eligibility.  Should your family be interested in this program, please complete this survey by Friday, April 7, 2023. We encourage you to share this message with any families in your surrounding area who may not have children currently enrolled in the School District.

Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) anticipa continuaroperando un aula de Pre-K Counts dentro del Distrito Escolar Conrad Weiser enla escuela Bethany Children's Home para el año escolar 2023-2024. Actualmente, BCIU está recopilando información para asegurar fondos de subvención como parte del proceso de re-oferta estatal de 5 años de Pre-K Counts.  BCIU ha mantenido la subvención para Pre-K Counts por más de 7 años.
