Audition Details:
Audition Date: June 5th
*Auditions will be held at our new studio at 410 Lewis Road #8
Times:
- AGES 4-6: 5:00 - 6:00 PM
- AGES 7-8: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
- AGES 9-12: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
- AGES 13-18: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Dress Code:
- All black dance wear
- Hair styled in a proper bun
- Jazz shoes or pirouettes
- Bring water and snacks
Cost to audition:
- Ages 4-8: $5.00 cash
- Ages 9-18: $10.00 cash
Our audition is structured like a jazz/technique class where participants will learn a short combination and perform it in groups. We are committed to making this a stress-free and fun experience for all of our new and returning dancers!
Studio 22 Tap Team Audition
Date: June 6th
Times:
- AGES 4-9: 5:30 - 6:15 PM
- AGES 10-18: 6:15 - 7:00 PM
Cost to audition: Free of charge
Dress Code:
- All black dance wear
- Hair styled in a proper bun
- Tap shoes
- Bring water and snacks
Dancers auditioning for our tap teams will receive a short video of a combination to practice at home. They will perform the combination in groups by age during the audition.
Studio 22 Acrobatics Team Audition
Date: June 6th
Times:
- AGES 4-6: 5:30-6:15pm
- AGES 7-9: 6:15 - 7:15 PM
- AGES 10-18: 7:15 - 8:15 PM
Cost to audition: $5.00 for class

- Hair styled in a proper bun
- Bare feet
- Bring water and snacks
Auditioning for our acrobatics team involves participating in an assessment of skills and levels during the audition class.
Solos Auditions:
Dancers who wish to perform a solo must audition a 30-second choreography showcasing their skills in their desired genre to any song of their choosing. Multiple solos require preparation for each genre (e.g., jazz, contemporary). Solo auditions will be scheduled throughout the nights on both June 5th and 6th. Your dancers solo audition time slot will be sent to you ASAP following your completion of this form via the email address provided.
Placement:
All leveling decisions are made with each dancer's best interest in mind, considering their skills, commitment, and determination to help them succeed and reach their full potential! This season we will be sending out our offers early with the ability to work towards a higher level if desired over the summer. Our summer intensive will be where we assess everyone for our final class placements.
My Dancer is unsure:
If your dancer is uncertain about participating in a solo, tap, or acrobatics, we highly recommend they audition anyway. This ensures that if they decide to pursue these options, the opportunity will be readily available to them.
Audition Fees:
Regarding audition fees, they contribute to covering essential staffing expenses since our auditions operate similarly to intensive dance classes.
