The St. Pius X Pastoral Council is seeking new members. New members must be parishioners. They will be required to serve for a three-year term with monthly meetings held at 6:30 p.m. on the second
Tuesday of the month. We do not meet in July and August. This is a great opportunity to
learn about what we accomplish within our Catholic community and what challenges we face.
It is also a way to contribute your time and talent to helping our parish.
The following information about the Pastoral Council has been taken from the Pastoral
Council Constitution and included here to increase your understanding of the mission and
purpose of this committee.
Mission
As members of the family of God, we the Pastoral Council of St. Pius X Parish, Diocese of
Toledo, believe that we are called to accept responsibility with the pastor for the current
and future life and mission of the St. Pius X parish.
The Council shall be the primary advisory and consultative body for all matters of the
parish, which include spiritual, educational, and social matters except to the extent limited
by Church law, Diocesan policy, and civil laws. (Article II)
