English/Literature (Writing and Reading)
This class will host discussions allowing students to voice their opinions and exhibit their own interpretation or perspective while being presented with the opportunity to learn more about the content through the projection of their peers' ideas. As they build these analytical skills, they will learn how to critically think and analyze any form of literature they are reading, thus, leading to an efficient understanding of what they are reading. Students will expand their understanding upon literary works. In addition to reading, their writing would also become more efficient as they are familiar with authorial choice, rhetorical strategies, author's agenda, etc. which they will be able to use in their own literary works.
