5.  At Wilcox, AVID is an elective class- you choose it in your daily schedule.  It's not "just a study hall" and it's not a "club after school";  it is a class in your day.  Please also know that our schools offer AVID for all four years, and that it is best when you continue to stay enrolled all four years. *
6.  AVID is designed as a class where we want to support you on your path toward being college and/or career ready.  
What support do you think you might need/ want from AVID?  (ie- I will need help knowing about financial aid when I am a senior./  I will want to visit college campuses to see what I like./  I will need extra help in my math class, from a tutorial session./  I will need help organizing my schedule.)
