GenePoolz 3 features

IMPORTANT TERMINOLOGY:
  • Phenotype -- Refers to genes that are outwardly observable in a pet.
  • Chromosome -- The things that pass down genetically to offspring. There are THREE TYPES: Sprite (preferences), Looks (appearance), and Behavior (personality). An offspring will receive 1 chromosome of each type from their mother and father, respectively, for a total of 6 chromosomes (two sprite, two looks, two behavior).
  • Descriptor -- The things that control which traits are phenotypically expressed in a pet. Completely separate from chromosomes. There are TWO TYPES: Sprite (preferences) and Goal (personality) (don't ask me why it's called "goal descriptor" and not "behavior descriptor"). THERE IS NO "LOOKS DESCRIPTOR"! Information about which Looks Chromosome genes are expressed can only be gleaned from the pet's LNZ code.
  • Biorhythm -- Refers to the attributes seen in PetzA's "brain sliders" window

REGARDING THE HANDLING OF PET FILES

In GenePoolz 3, you won't need to select pet files one at a time through a file browser. Instead, you will specify the folder(s) you want GenePoolz to get petz from, and GenePoolz will automatically consolidate the petz in those folders into a single in-app display. You'll be able to add/remove folders at any time, as well as sort/filter petz based on various criteria.

Here is a simple rendition of the concept:
Other than genetics viewing/editing, please tell me what features you'd most like to see implemented. *

Regarding phenotype information for individual variation, what level of breed support would you prefer?

NOTE: Although this information will be technically editable, actually controlling the exact pattern of variations is outside the scope of GenePoolz due to how the game works.
*
Would you like a more convenient way to manage pet files across multiple folders/PetzA profiles? If so, what features would be useful to you? *
Required
[Optional] Please describe any other feature(s) you'd like to see, whether related to genetics or not -- no limits!
