Tina Goodrick is seeking college and high school students to intern with her campaign for State Representative in Missouri’s ninth house district.
Interns will gain hands-on experience and learn about the day to day operations of a political campaign. By the conclusion of this internship, interns will be familiar with the elements of a successful campaign, including field, fundraising and communications strategies, and will be adequately equipped for future employment opportunities in the political realm.
Responsibilities will include effectively communicating the campaign’s message to voters as well as prospective volunteers and donors, staffing the campaign office, assisting with the planning and organization of campaign events, leading teams of volunteers to meet weekly canvassing goals, and assisting the candidate and staff with various other tasks as needed.
Applicants should be Republican and available to work on-site in Buchanan or Andrew County. Experience is not required nor expected, though applicants should be proficient oral communicators and familiar with Google Suite.
The internship is unpaid. Upon successful completion, interns will receive a letter of recommendation from Tina Goodrick. Staff will work with interns to ensure that they meet any requirements for school credit, if applicable.
The internship will run from the beginning of May through the middle of August, though can be adjusted depending on school schedules. Scheduling is flexible, applicants should be available to work between ten and twenty hours per week.
