Thank you for expressing your interest in the Young Worker Convergence on Climate! We have gotten an overwhelming response to our outreach and our meeting venue cannot hold all of the pre-registrants. As a result, registration is now closed. We know that our work together is bigger than 3 days and 4 walls can hold, and are eager to build an infrastructure to channel this momentum! Coming out of the convergence, the Young Worker Listening Project will continue to build organizing networks between and uplift the stories of young workers so we may challenge the systems that treat us and the earth as disposable. To do so we will need your help!
Please fill out this form to stay connected as we will be sharing recordings and information from the convergence, and collectively developing a strategic plan to support organizers like yourself. This includes:
- A few weeks after the convergence we will be holding a debrief and follow up call which will be open to any young workers who are interested in getting involved in building the Young Worker Project together. We hope that you will attend, and will invite other young workers who are interested in getting involved!
- Will you meet with us 1:1 to speak further about labor-climate organizing? At the convergence we are hoping to get a better sense of what ongoing programming young workers need. There are so many ways that labor-climate issues impact young workers, and so many ways we can be transformative in the climate-labor movement -- the conversations we plan to have at the convergence are just the tip of the iceberg! Schedule a 1:1 with one of our organizers to let us know what kind of resources, workshops, webinars etc. would be helpful for your climate-labor organizing, and how you might hope to contribute to our ongoing programming.
- If you're in LA, come mingle with climate and labor activists at our Climate + Labor Mixer on Saturday, September 17th!
