Shine! VBS takes a look at the redemption story of Jesus through the lens of five different Bible stories. The entire Bible tells the story of God's redemption through the work of Jesus Christ, and SHINE! will help students see Jesus in five genres of biblical accounts: mystery, romance, comedy, action and musical. Each day will focus on an element of the gospel as depicted in an Old Testament account. The goal of "Shine!" VBS is to help everyone see the glory of Jesus throughout the Scriptures and compel them to trust and worship Christ.
At Shine! VBS, students "go to the movies" to see stories that depict the gospel.
Students will solve the mystery of who knocked over the statue of Dagon,they will observe God's love in the romance story of Ruth and Boaz,they will see the foolishness of sin in the comedic episode of Balaam and his donkey,they will celebrate God's triumph in the action-packed account of David and Goliath,and they will learn to rejoice with music when they observe David rejoicing before God as the ark of the covenant was brought into Jerusalem.
It's going to be a great time at the movies this summer at First Thonotosassa Missionary Baptist Church June 3-7, 2024.
