Hurunui River Trip log
Our beloved Hurunui river is threatened to become another victim of the fast track bill. A weir has been proposed which will remove all flow variability on the river, meaning no more flood runs and no more of the low flows that make the river an instructor's paradise. We need to prove our voices are worth hearing by showing the developers that we use the river regularly.
