The Sooke Lions have generously agreed to sell us the property located at 2008 Murray Road, Sooke BC under the condition that its use benefits the community. Please support us in our rezoning application for from P1 (public recreation) to C1 (commercial) to make this a reality.
We want to offer space for
- individual and group counselling
- therapeutic groups
- yoga centre and meeting room space
- additional holistic practitioner services
- a natural playground and sensory gardens for public access
Although Sea to Tree Health & Wellness is not technically a non-profit, we operate like one. A portion of each associate session stays with the Centre so we can give back to the community in a variety of ways:
- low-cost programs such as student sessions ($25 each),
- subsidized individual and group counselling sessions
- gifts to those in need during the holiday season
- donations to local community fundraisers
This business model is sustainable as essentially those who can afford the services, even at a lower rate, help offset the cost of services for those who cannot.
Our vision with this property and space is to keep as much green space as we can and build a building with as small a footprint as possible.
We consider the planning to be a dynamic process allowing for the vision of this centre to grow with the needs of the community. That is why we welcome you to share what you would want to have available as well.
