As members of the Mount Vernon community - parents and grandparents are automatically a part of the Mount Vernon Parent Network (MVPN), which works to promote a strong sense of community by encouraging MV families to Learn, Serve and Give. We provide our families the opportunity to support each other, as well as faculty and staff in an informed, welcoming environment. Our success is grounded in a shared mission, supportive community and strong parent participation.

MV Spirit - supports and promotes school spirit activities and spirit wear, uniform resale and the Made in MV Store.

Mustang Athletic Club - promotes and supports MV sports and other athletic activities at the School

MV Cares - helps provide care for our families, staff, faculty, and the greater community. The MV Cares Committee sends cards and provides any other support for MV families. MV Prayers meets at least one time per month and prays for our students by name.

MV Arts Alliance - promotes and supports MV Arts programming and other arts activities at the School

Events - helps plan and execute school-wide events, Gala Benefit, fundraisers, special activities

New Family - welcomes and helps orient new families to the School community.

MV Grandparents - provides grandparents with an opportunity to support the School’s mission, to help build a stronger community that is inclusive of our grandparents and caregivers, and to impact and engage in our students' learning experience. We send monthly newsletters, host socials (on Zoom and in-person), and are available to answer questions.

Giving - helps drive participation in the Gala Benefit, MV Fund, and Rally sponsorship.

IDEA - helps communicate and execute meaningful Learn, Serve, Give priorities for parents based upon directives from the Chief IDEA Officer and Community Development department, that genuinely represents, connects, develops, and impacts our community.

MV Serves - responsible for organizing and activating our community to serve through volunteerism, drives, etc.

MV Appreciation - serves our well-deserved faculty/staff with luncheons, surprises, and other events.

MV Connection - builds bridges between the lower school and upper school student body (Alpha & Omega). MV Connection will also keep our Alumni connected through updates, events, and Care Packages.

Lower School Engagement - partners with Division Heads to support teachers and families while organizing community building events

Upper School Engagement - partners with the Division Heads supports teachers and families while organizing community building events

Each MVPN Committee will have 2 Steering Committee Chairs. Our Chairs are innovative, passionate, and reliable. If you would like to be a Steering Committee Member, please indicate which Committee. If not, leave blank.

Divisional Committee Advocates are essential as they help to strengthen the mission and build relationships within the divisional committee. Supported by the Chairs, you will help with planning, communicating, and executing events/projects within your division.

Supported by the Upper Campus Engagement Chair, you will help with planning, communicating, and fostering relationships within your grade. Are decorations your thing? We need your help with Event & Holiday Decor. As Event Decor Chair will get to work with all of the committees as you collaborate on themes and decorations for their events. The Holiday Decor Chair will help acknowledge and advocate for the the diversity of the holiday season. They will be our leader for campus decorations from November (installation) and in January (removal) and will work in collaboration with the IDEA Committee and Community Development Team.

In order to equip this generation of students with the skills needed to succeed in college and beyond, we believe it is our responsibility to set the conditions for learners to interact with business and civic leaders, c-suite executives, entrepreneurs, service providers, and various professionals in a wide variety of industries to exchange ideas, co-create, and receive feedback on work initiatives. Whatever your expertise, there is a connection to be made at MV. *
