Tippitywitchet
Productions is heading back to Shock-O-Con, Havre de Grace’s premier horror
convention!
Shock-O-Con 2 will
take place August 23 - August 25, 2024 at the STAR Centre in Havre de Grace
Maryland, and Tippitywitchet Productions is now casting for BOTH the Friday
night Shock-And-Awe Burlesque, Drag, and Sideshow Extravaganza! (aka SAW), and
six three-act mini sideshows, which will take place at the Tippitywitchet booth over
the course of the weekend.
Performers are welcome to apply for both SAW and the sideshow, and may be
hired to work both events.
Applications will close on June 15, and all applicants will be notified
by June 29.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted, so please be sure to answer
all required questions!

SHOCK-AND-AWE
SAW will take place in the main auditorium at STAR Centre, and acts
should be tailored for a large audience and theatre seating. Full theatrical
lighting is available, and assistance in elevating visual aspects of existing
acts may be available through convention coordinator Bob Denton (props, set
pieces, etc). “Think big!” he says!
We are looking for burlesque, drag, sideshow, and variety performances of
all styles. Acts do not need to represent specific horror
properties, but Tippitywitchet asks that performers consider horror aesthetics
in designing their presentations. An aerial point is available (requires proof
of insurance). Fire is a possibility (requires proof of insurance). Gore and
fake blood are welcome, with appropriate preparations on the part of the
performer (i.e. let’s plan for cleanup).
Tippitywitchet will never accept glitter pours.
