The Jackson Young Professionals are looking for people who are interested in serving on our board of directors. Currently we have 2-3 committee chair seats available. We are looking for engaged members who are interested in being a part of our leadership team. Committee chairs are appointed to the board by the elected Executive Committee board members.

Since our team works so closely together and we need to fill the available seats quickly, to make sure it is going to be a good fit, the board would like interested members to complete this form no later than October 31st and be available to attend our November 4th Board Meeting at 6:00pm.

We are a very active board and the organization relies on the volunteer time and efforts of our entire Board of Directors. Commitment to the JxnYP Board of Directors includes:
-- attendance at monthly board meetings (typically held 6:00p.-7:30p. the first Thursday of the month)
-- attendance at monthly Large Group Meetings (third Thursday of each month)
-- attendance at monthly Committee Meetings (second Monday of each month) when your committee has activities happening
-- engagement at as many JxnYP events as possible
-- working on necessary tasks as needed pertaining to your role (see role descriptions below)

Professional Development - Plan and execute programming and/or events that provide the JYP membership with skill development and networking opportunities. Events could include Speed Networking, Lunch with a Leader, and any other fresh new ideas you may have.

Social Events - Plan and execute events that provide JYP membership with fun ways to socialize within and outside the group. This includes organizing the location of our social following each monthly large group meeting, but could also include things like a New Year's Eve event, Pup Club, Pop-ups at existing community events, and more!

Fund Development - This is a new position the board is considering adding. This committee chair would focus on building relationships with sponsors, developing new funding sources, and researching grant opportunities.
