Prices:
Rather than making a complex list of prices that railroads expression on both sides, what I'll try out for the moment is this: Once we've agreed on the details of the work, I'll make an estimate of how many hours it should take to complete, and multiply that by $25 CAD (About $18 USD, currently). If this price is agreed upon, it can be sent up front and work will begin. Drafts will be sent for review both when the sketch is complete and, if applicable, when the colored piece is complete; changes may be submitted at these points.
The price will NOT go up if:
- It takes longer than I estimated to finish
- Features are added at my suggestion (and your agreement), IE backgrounds, versions, details, etc
- Changes are made on suggestion at the sketch or final review stage.
The price MAY go up (and payment must be sent in advance) if:
- Additions or changes are required after the two review intervals. (This is especially likely if designing a character from a written description, or doing a ref sheet)
What you are agreeing to/what to expect:
- I retain the copyright on all finished pieces. In practice, this means you can basically do whatever you want with it, but you may not sell it or use it for commercial purposes without an express agreement between us.
- Turnaround time can be anywhere between a single day to two weeks at the maximum. If, from the time a work is agreed upon and payment is sent, the project is not complete, a status update will be sent and (with the exception of comics or long sequences) a refund will be offered if the delay is unacceptable. Comics and long sequences will have their refund period negotiated up front.
- Payment is for the moment taken through paypal.
- Submitting a commission request is not a guarantee, and no agreement has yet been made. Each request will be considered, and may be accepted or declined at my discretion. Thank you for your understanding.
