ARTMAGEDDON is NYC's biggest free art & music festival, attracting more than 20,000 visitors to experience the work of more than 250 artists on October 1, 2023.
This year's ARTMAGEDDON will be presented in the Beverley Square West & Prospect Park South neighborhoods of Ditmas Park on September 29, 2024 from noon to 6 p.m. (Raindate 10/6/24).
Believe it or not, this will be the SIXTH ARTMAGEDDON ever (June 2021, October 2021, June 2022, October 2022 & October 2023 being the others).
ARTMAGEDDON is free to all Brooklyn-based artists to participate, but all applications must first be approved. This year, our application is open exclusively to members of our newly formed ARTMAGEDDON COLLECTIVE. COLLECTIVE membership is $10 (for those who can afford it) or FREE for those who cannot.
Typical artist sales for our 6-hour event range from $300 to $3,000, or more.
Artists/performers will need to bring their own display/performance equipment, including table(s), chair(s), signage, microphones, stands, sound mixer, etc., where relevant. (We may actually be able to provide some of this equipment on request, we have been able to do so in the past.)
Performers are paid via donation, with suggested donations being $10 per individual and $20 per family in attendance. Performers are also encouraged to sell merchandise, books or anything else they feel will be of interest to our audience.
Applicants to this form will receive a response within two-to-four weeks of their submission. Accepted artists will be provided a porch, lawn, driveway or sidewalk to display &/or perform &/or conduct an activity &/or sell their work. Locations will be announced one month prior to the event, sometime in late August.
ARTMAGEDDON is a project of Beautify Brooklyn, a nonprofit founded in 2021 that is committed to making Brooklyn the most inspiring place in the world to live and work. If all goes well we will meet that goal by the end of this calendar year!
We hope you'll be a part of it.
Art + Music = Peace
Sincerely,
Beautify Brooklyn & THE ARTMAGEDDON COLLECTIVE
