Proposal #1:  Automated assessment step - Turnitin
Plagiarism detection is a big challenge in some contexts.
Students may submit an answer that was simply copied and pasted from the internet, use generative AI tools to create an essay or ask someone else in the course to give them the essay they wrote and submit it as their own.
While there isn't any perfect automated solution to detect these types of plagiarism, advanced tools such as Turnitin do go a long way in assessing the level of similarity a particular submission may have. They may also provide qualitative feedback about the submission to help the learner improve.

This proposal wants to integrate an automated assessment step by leveraging an external solution called Turnitin, a well-recognized brand in plagiarism detection.

It may also potentially clear the path for other automated assessment steps to be supported in the future.

Totally agree
This would be interesting / useful for my organization or courses
This would be a good oportunity to clear the way for future integrations with other automated assessment tools
This would not be good as it would make ORA more complex
I'd rather not try to compare the automated assessment with the assessments done by people using the rubric
I'd rather have any turnitin validation be done outside of the scope or ORA
It is a feature that other LMS platforms I currently use already support
It has potential, but I'd modify the design or functionality in key ways before implementing it
How would you use the score provided by Turnitin in the overall grading of the ORA activity.
Any additional feedback you'd like to provide to this initiative
