TOUR FILLED!  Rosenbach Library and Museum.    Explore the Rosenbach's collection of rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects in this two-hour behind-the-scenes tour.                               Sunday, June 26, 2:00–4:00 pm (pre-conference).       Meet at the Rosenbach, 2008 Delancey Place.          $15 per person.

Concert with Sarah Aroeste, international Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) singer/songwriter, author and activist, weaving Sephardic history and stories together with song. This interactive, multi-media presentation will demonstrate the rich textures of Mediterranean Sephardic life and will take you on a sensory journey from the 15th century to today. Free to conference attendees-- made possible by the generous sponsorship of Dan Wyman Books. Monday, June 27th at 7:30 at the Jewish Museum Theater. (Tickets will be available at the registration table for those who sign up here.)

Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History.        Our conference venue's mission is to connect Jews more closely to their heritage and to inspire in people of all backgrounds a greater appreciation for the diversity of the American Jewish experience and the freedoms to which Americans aspire. Free docent-led tours are available at the times listed below. Space is limited to 12 people/tour. (You may also visit the museum galleries without a tour at no charge at any time during our conference.)

Walking Tour of Historic Jewish Philadelphia.       Dr. Michael Schatz, native of Philadelphia whose family has lived in the region since the turn of the 20th century, shares his passion for history, Jewish life, synagogue architecture, as well as local stories and customs. Wednesday, June 29, 2:30–4:30 pm. Leaves from the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History $15.00 per person. Rare Book Room at the Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies (University of Pennsylvania).          See ancient Near Eastern cuneiform tablets, thousand-year-old manuscript fragments from the Cairo Genizah, medieval Hebrew manuscript codices, illuminated scrolls of Esther, a special library of early Judaic Americana, and other rarities.       Wednesday, June 29, 2:45 pm.       Meet at the Katz Center, 420 Walnut Street, two blocks south of our conference venue.      Free tour limited to 10 people.  (PLEASE NOTE: this tour conflicts with the Walking Tour, so you will not be able to attend both.)

National Constitution Center.       Visit America’s leading platform for constitutional education and debate, chartered “to disseminate information about the U.S. Constitution on a nonpartisan basis.”     Thursday, June 30, 10:00 am (post-conference)     Free ($15 value) one-hour docent-led tour, then explore the Center afterwards.        Meet at the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street, two blocks from our hotel. Limited to 12 registrants.
