South African schools can apply to receive free access to CodeSpace's CAPS aligned coding curriculum.

The curriculum consists of 8-12 hours of course work per term.

The teacher training is 6 hours (3h online course work + four 45min webinar sessions).

As a teacher, you will learn:
✔ coding fundamentals
✔ how to teach coding
✔ how to facilitate a term of comprehensive weekly lesson plans

You will receive:
✔ learner registrations to the CodeSpace learning portal
✔ comprehensive weekly lesson plans

Note:

- This application must be completed by the teacher who plans to complete the teacher training course.

- The coursework for learners takes ±8 hours. The teacher/ facilitator must have available at least 8 hours with the proposed group of learners.

Schools are selected based on criteria that include:
✔ Infrastructure: computer lab, internet
✔ Management and administration capacity
✔ Matric performance in Maths and English; Bachelor pass rate
