Free Confidential Therapy for Sexual Assault Survivors in Egypt.

The EMPWR team is voluntarily teaming up with accredited psychologists & mental health professionals across Egypt to provide therapy for survivors in need of urgent support, enforcing a strict confidentiality process.

This is NOT JUST including those involved in the sexual abuse case of the Ahmed Bassem Zaki.
This is for ALL survivors.

We are aware that many survivors lack accessible professional resources.

Due to that, we’re continuously working to include more accredited professionals and resources to help aid many more seeking immediate support.

Please Note: This is a volunteer-led initiative, by youth for youth.
All volunteers facilitating the EMPWR’s “Linking Survivors to Therapists” Initiative either:
i)               have a Mental Health First Aid Certificate
ii)              have an educational background in psychology.
iii)            are 21+
iv)            are women.

We are also aware that this may be the first time for many seeking mental health support/therapy and thus we’ve put the following measures to ensure all survivors receive the right support they need:

1.     All survivors will strictly remain confidential.
2.     All survivors will be matched with a Volunteer from EMPWR, who will ensure survivors are selected with the right “fit” therapists. Do not be discouraged if you are not matched with a therapist you find effective. Even the best aren’t for all.
3.     All survivors will receive up to one month of weekly support from top-class professionals.

EMPWR will continuously work on ensuring the security of survivors who may need additional resources.

Please Note:
* We will work our best to reach you at the quickest time we possibly can.
** We take ALL survivors’ experience with therapy seriously. EMPWR’s Leads will always be within arms reach should you have any comments/concerns.
* Conversations with any member of the EMPWR Team will remain strictly confidential.

جلسات علاجية سريّة مجانية للناجين من الاعتداء الجنسي في مصر.

العديد من الناجين يفتقدون كيفية الوصول إلى مقدمي الدعم النفسي.
لذلك يتعاون فريق  "امباور" بشكل تطوعيّ مع متخصصين نفسيين معتمدين في مصر لتقديم جلسات علاج نفسي مجانية للناجين من الاعتداءات الجنسية والمحتاجين إلى دعم نفسي عاجل.
* هذا ليس مقتصراً فقط على قضية أحمد بسام زكي *
ويعمل الفريق باستمرار على إضافة المزيد من المتخصصين النفسيين لمزيد من المساعدة لطالبي الدعم العاجل.

نحن ندرك أنه هذه قد تكون المرة الأولى التي يسعى فيها البعض للحصول على الدعم النفسي، فلأجل ضمان حصول الناجين على الدعم المناسب الذي يحتاجونه فإننا نؤكد على أنه:
١- جميع المعلومات سريّة.
٢- سيتم تنسيق جميع الناجين بواسطة متطوع من المبادرة، والذي سيضمن مطابقة الناجين مع المعالجين المناسبين.
٣- سيحصل جميع الناجين على جلسة دعم أسبوعية لمدة شهر مع أحد كبار المتخصصين.
لا تحبط إن لم تشعر بالانسجام مع معالج ما، تواصل معنا وسيتم التنسيق مع معالج آخر.
تعمل  "امباور"  باستمرار على ضمان سرية وأمان الناجين الذين قد يحتاجون إلى مساعدة إضافية.

تلك المبادرة يقودها متطوعون من الشباب وإلى الشباب. جميع المتطوعين هم فتيات أكبر من ٢١ عام، حاصلات على شهادة في الاسعافات الأولية للصحة النفسية أو من الدارسات لعلم النفس.

 * نحن نبذل قصارى جهدنا للوصول إليك في أسرع وقت ممكن.
 ** نحن نأخذ تجربتك في العلاج على محمل الجد. سيكون قادة  "امبور" دائمًا في متناول اليد إذا كان لديك أية تعليقات أو مخاوف تخص تجربتك العلاجية.
 * ستظل المحادثات مع أي عضو في فريق  "امباور" سرية للغاية.
