Kelloggsville Band Parent Survey
Thank you for taking a moment to fill out this short survey regarding band parent participation. We are trying to get a better understanding of how band parents are able and willing to participate through each school year. 

Each of these apply to KMS and KHS band parents (unless marked). We encourage KMS band families to get involved early behind the scenes with the KHS Marching and Concert Bands if possible. This helps you and your student get an idea of what to expect as part of the KHS Band Program.

Working in Concession Stand with your band student

Description: This will earn your band student a percentage of the profits earned in the concession stand for their band account. They can use that money to pay for band camp, instrument repair/rental, purchasing show shirts/hoodies, purchasing band jacket, etc.

Helping with marching band competitions

Description: This involves staying with the band prior to the performance, moving equipment on and off the field for the performance, and getting the equipment back to the trailers after the performance. We are always in need of at least 8 parents to move this equipment. You will be given free entrance into the competition to watch the rest of the event and awards ceremony.

Help with high school band uniforms before events

Description: This involves handing out uniforms before events and hanging them back up after events. This includes football games, concerts, competitions, parades, etc. We need 2-4 parents for each event, especially football games.

Sewing hems on concert uniform skirts and pants

Description: This involves being available for fittings to measure the hems if possible or to set up a time to pick up/drop off uniforms for hemming.

Tow one of the trailers to band events

Description: We have two trailers that need to be towed to and from multiple events throughout the year. Mr. Anderson has more information on the trailers and towing needs.

Band Camp Chaperone - KHS Band Parents Only

Description: We are always looking for parents to attend band camp as a chaperone. You get to spend a week with the band watching the show come together with other band parents. Mr. Anderson has more information on being a band camp chaperone.

Band Booster – attend meetings, become a band booster

Description: All band parents are invited to the band booster meetings – second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the HS band room. We are also looking for more people to join the band boosters on a regular basis to help with planning through out the year.
