The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is seeking adults to be “models” (i.e. patients) during the hands-on ultrasound workshops at the 30th Annual Scientific Assembly in Austin, TX on April 27-May 1, 2024. AAEM will pay models for their time which will enable physicians to practice hands-on skill training to learn basic and advanced ultrasound skills and understand scan proficiency.
AAEM ultrasound courses cover focused medical scans of vascular, abdominal, echocardiography (heart), and musculoskeletal (leg/arm) areas. Sessions usually run for 40 minutes to up to 4 hours during conference. Personal protective equipment will be provided to models.
Who Should Apply? This opportunity is a rewarding benefit for local college or medical students interested in the medical field (future physicians, medical assistants, nurses, physical therapists, and/or other medical specialties) to learn about the human body, earn easy extra cash, and network with expert physicians from throughout the globe. Models are welcome (and encouraged) to sign up for multiple sessions.
