Internet and computing: As the parent or legal guardian of the pupil(s) named above, I grant permission for the school to give my child access to the internet at school, to the school's chosen system, to computing facilities and equipment at the school. *
I accept that the school cannot be held responsible for the nature and content of materials assessed through the internet and tablet technologies, but I understand the school takes every reasonable precaution to keep pupils safe and to prevent pupils from accessing inappropriate materials. *
I understand that the school can, if necessary, check my child's computer files and the internet sites they access at school and if there are any concerns about my child's e-safety or e-behaviour (eg. cyber bullying/ access to social media, search engine history) they will contact me. *
Use of digital images, photography and video: I understand the school has a clear policy on "the use of digital images and video" and I support this. *
I accept the school will use photographs and videos of my child to support learning activities within the learning environment. *
I accept that the school may use photographs/video that includes my child in publicity that reasonably promotes the work of the school and for no other purpose. This can be done via our school website/ school app and official school social media platform. *
I will not take and then share online, photographs of other children (or staff) at school events without permission. *
Social networking and media sites; I understand that the school has a clear policy on "the use of social networking and media sites" and I support this. *
I understand and acknowledge the age restrictions for social media sites. If my child is found to be on any of these sites I will be contacted to discuss deletion of said account. *
Age restrictions
SnapChat, Facebook, Twitter, Kik, Tiktok, Instagram, Vine, Roblox and Fortnite are all 13 + years old. Whatsapp has recently announced their users must be 16 years old to use Whatsapp. Children should not be making Youtube accounts as you must be 18 years old.
I understand the school takes any inappropriate behaviour seriously and will respond to observed or reported inappropriate or unsafe behaviour. *
I will support the school by promoting safe use of the internet, age appropriate computer games (playstation, xbox, nintendo switch) and digital technology at home (tablets). I will inform the school if I have any concerns. *
