Common Good GT:                                     Inequalities in Education Committee Application
This committee focuses on addressing inequalities in public high school education. Studies show that a student’s social class is one of the most significant predictors of their academic achievement. This is especially evident in many metro Atlanta public schools. Within this committee, we will use our academic resources as Georgia Tech students to implement programs that allow us to enact change and provide opportunities and resources for these students, aiming to reduce the impact of socioeconomic differences on academic and professional success while educating our peers about these prevalent, but overlooked societal issues.
