SFUSD Special Education Family Handbook

The Special Education Family Handbook was created to help families navigate the IEP process and ensure families of students with disabilities have the tools they need to make the most of their child's education. Inside the handbook you will find explanations of frequently used terminology, legal rights, and an explanation of the IEP process and more.

You can view or download a pdf the Handbook online at any time at www.sfusd.edu/sped/handbook. In order to help us minimize our carbon footprint, please use the PDF version if you are able. Please complete this form if you would like a paper copy of the SFUSD Special Education Family Handbook mailed to you.
