2024 MAAM Annual Conference Call for Session Proposals

Thank you for your interest in submitting a session proposal to the MAAM 2024 Annual Conference! The Annual Meeting will be held October 8-10, 2024 at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District. Please follow the prompts to guide you through the submission process. If you have questions about your proposal or need accommodations, let us know by emailing info@midatlanticmuseums.org.

This form will be open to submissions until 5pm EDT, on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Requirements:

  • All session proposals are due by 5:00pm EDT on Friday, May 31, 2024 and will be reviewed by the MAAM Annual Meeting Program Committee.
  • Sessions can be between 45-75 minutes in length and should be in an in-person format.

  • Please allow a minimum of 15 minutes for Q&A in your session.

  • Only complete submissions will be reviewed. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

  • Decisions regarding the selection of sessions will be e-mailed to the session contact person by June 30, 2024.

  • Industry partners are also welcome to submit proposals, but all panels must include at least one museum professional as a session chair or panelist. This can include independent museum professionals or museum professionals in transition. 

  • At least one person on the panel must be a member of MAAM or must become a member of MAAM before the preliminary program is released. Please click here to become a member of MAAM or contact Michelle Paulus-Baumgarten at info@midatlanticmuseums.org for more information.  

  • Please confirm that all of the proposed speakers are available for speaking during the October 8-10, 2024 conference dates before submitting a proposal. 

  • MAAM does not provide honorariums or travel reimbursement for session presenters or moderators; however there will be a discounted speaker registration rate available. It is session moderators’ responsibility to relay this policy to potential speakers.
