We need to ensure we are using the correct personal protective equipment for any hazardous situations around the site while we are working. The vast majority of sites will always require your basic three, (hard hat, steel toes & safety vest), while occassionaly relaxing the rules on those when a site is nearing completion, but it is up to you, your employer and your supervisor to identify any other hazards to you while working and make sure you have the correct PPE before performing this task. This could be Arkay ensuring a proper fit test is done for a respirator if you're working around a lot of silicia compounds or dust, safety glass for grinding or cutting with power tools, or gloves if using chemicals for cleaning or other purposes.

Remember, if you are feeling unsafe about a certain task without the correct PPE, you have a responsibility to not continue with the task until you are properly protected!
