Keeping food waste out of the landfill is good for local farmers and helps to curb climate change. One of the best ways to "go green," is to ensure your organic waste gets processed into soil instead of sitting to rot in a landfill.
Star City Compost will provide pick-up of 32 G and 64 G waste totes on a weekly or twice/week schedule for commercial clients including restaurants, cafeterias, schools, grocery stores, and apartment complexes.
Anticipated costs are $25/week for a 64 G tote or $15/week for 32 G tote. Totes must be picked up weekly to comply with state regulations. Additional 64 G totes will be charged at $15/week.
As food waste is the heaviest of trashed items and many dumpster companies charge by the weight of their pick-up, what we receive in payment will come largely from money saved on your dumpster bill. We will also help you show your customer's your efforts to go green by providing signage showing your involvement in the organics waste diversion program.
