Year 2 Beach Trip 2020
Dear Parents/Caregivers,

For part of our Real Learning this year, Tui team have been understanding the importance of keeping our environment clean. To reinforce this teaching, and as a follow up to the 'School Kit - Sea Cleaners', we will be visiting Murrays Bay Beach to Tuesday, 24 November 2020. This trip will encourage the children to reflect on what impact we, as individuals, can have on our local environment. We will also be considering how scientists think by observing and recording processes when we examine the sea life in the rock pools.

The Key Competencies we will be covering are:
- Thinking,
- Using language, symbols and texts,
- Managing Self,
- Participating and Contributing,
- Relating to Others.

We ask that you provide your child with a packed lunch, a drink bottle of water, covered shoes, the uniform bucket hat and a school jumper. The students will be dressed in their school sports uniform and should have sunscreen applied prior to coming to school.

We will be leaving school at 9:30am to walk down to the beach.

To assist us, we need parent helpers to supervise a group of students on the walk to and back from the beach, and during our visit at the beach.
As always, the success of this trip depends on your support. Please indicate on the form below if you are able to help out.

Kind Regards,

Sharon Garner
