Are you a Master's student or recent graduate? Have you researched or worked on academic projects relating to Africa? Maybe you have written (or are still writing) your Master's thesis on a topic relating to Africa? Then, join the Third European Students' Conference in African Studies at the University of Basel from the 29-30 August 2024! You will have the opportunity to present your academic work, and have access to all kinds of academic as well as non-academic events.

In order to register your participation, all we need is a short abstract of the work you would like to present. The predominant language of the event is English, nevertheless we also welcome presentations in French, Portuguese and German as long as the written version thereof (PowerPoint presentation or handout) is in English.

Please submit your short abstract (300-400 words max.) by 25 April 2024 using this form. Each participant is allowed to submit only one abstract. We will confirm the acceptance of your proposition and your participation latest by 17 May 2024.

We would be happy if you spread the word among your fellow students engaging with Africa and look forward to seeing you in Basel.
