SIGN UP HERE - to REGISTER YOUR K9 TEAM  for the K9 BOX CHALLENGE on November 14 2020 1 PM- 5 PM Mesa County Fairgrounds Grand Junction CO. Arrival time and start line details will be sent 7-10 prior to the event. (AFTER THE NACSW ORT IS COMPLETED)

FOUR - FIVE CONTAINER- BOX SEARCHES

ENVIRONMENT- FAIRGROUNDS- Includes indoor and outdoor searches

LEVEL- All levels. Nose work levels will be grouped starting with the lowest level searching first and hides
added to each search area for each next level for level appropriate odor and sourcing challenges. No search hides will be reset per level. If you are running a lower level dog and an upper level dog, handler may have a known hide from the first search in the subsequent search with the upper level dog. All hide locations are blind to first run teams. Handler may choose to run a lower level dog in an upper level search- there is no prerequisite. Handlers' are encouraged to use their own search judgement as to the ability of their search team.

RANDOM DRAW- Entry opens October 14 2020 at 10 AM MT and remains open to October 16 2020 at 5 PM MT-
entries will be selected from a random draw and notified on October 19 2020. Wait list will be maintained up to the event day.

ENTRY FEES- $75.00 PER DOG-HANDLER TEAM

MULTIPLE DOGS -Handlers may enter multiple dogs and may run multiple dogs. Hides will not be reset for any subsequent dog running the same search.

COACHING- All handlers may elect to have known number of hides, unknown number of hides, search coaching from the Judge before or during the search, brief coaching comments at conclusion of the search.

DEBRIEF- We will provide a debrief at the end of all runs by approximately 4:30 PM outdoors - weather permitting or via video on mountaindog.org or similar platform.
