RIFAC 2020-21 Class Enrollment
We are looking forward to getting back on track with our regular season schedule in September! The class schedule that starts then will go through June 2021. All class details, schedules and start dates can be found at https://rifac.com/classes/ 

Please note this schedule is tentative due to the current RIDOH guidelines. There may be slight adjustments to class times, if needed.

Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. All fencers must pre-register prior to the first class.

Payment Options: *
General RIFAC Class Policies: There is no annual enrollment fee for classes. All tuition fees are non-refundable. Tuition is based on 10 monthly installments (September-June) with monthly payment amounts consistent regardless of the student’s attendance, academy closures, or holidays. Tuition is already prorated to adjust for holidays. Price adjustments will be made as students advance through class levels. *

COVID-19 Supplemental Agreement:  I understand that in the event that RIFAC must close due to State of RI guidelines relating to the COVID-19 crisis, I will be given the option to either continue the class program remotely (at 50% of the cost of the in-person program) or, I can pause my class tuition payments until RIFAC re-opens.  If my tuition is paid in full, a credit for reduced pricing or missed time will be provided. *

Make-up Classes: Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather and holidays at the discretion of RIFAC. Tuition is not prorated if a student misses a class due to illness or personal reasons, and it is not based on how many classes a student may or may not attend in any given month. When a student misses a class, every attempt to find an appropriate make-up class will be made. Make-up opportunities are based on class availability and must be cleared through the front desk first. *

General RIFAC Waiver: I understand and appreciate that participation in sport carries a risk of injury. I knowingly accept and assume this risk, and release RIFAC, its sponsors, instructors, and staff from any liability. *

Supplemental Waiver related to COVID-19: Consistent with state and federal guidelines, RIFAC has reopened and has implemented preventative measures to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19. Despite those measures, RIFAC cannot guarantee that participants will not come into contact with other individuals who are infected with COVID-19 or that any participant will not become infected with COVID-19. By signing this waiver and participating in activities and/or visiting RIFAC, the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself and/or each participant assumes the risk of participating in RIFAC activities; assumes all of risks associated with COVID-19 resulting from attendance at RIFAC and participation in activities at RIFAC, including any illness, injury, liability, loss or expense; and releases, covenants not to sue, discharges, and holds harmless RIFAC, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from all claims. *

Consent for Medical Treatment: I give consent to the staff and coaches of the Rhode Island Fencing Academy and Club to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital or clinic for any injury or illness that may arise during activities associated with RIFAC. *

These photographs may be used for public relations, advertisements, etc. Typically, permission is always asked of families prior to the use of any close-up photographs. I give permission for RIFAC to take and use photographs of my child. *
