Event Balloon Request Form

Please complete this form to request balloons if you are paying with shortcode and you need multiple bouquets.  

If you want a recognition bouquet (Happy Birthday, Thank You, Good Luck, Get Well, etc.) for an individual and are not paying with a shortcode, please use our Recognition Delivery Request. 

How much time to allow

During the summer: Generally, we ask for one week's notice for event balloon requests. This request form will not allow you to request balloons for a date that is too soon. However, this depends greatly on the size and complexity of the order, availability of products, time of year, and staffing. Please call us at 734-764-0436 to ask if we can accommodate a request within a week.

SORC is staffed by students, and these deliveries are executed entirely by those students. Their academic commitments come first!

  • Delivery is not guaranteed.
  • We do not deliver on weekends.
  • If you have an early-morning event, you will need to choose MYLAR (foil) bouquets and request delivery/pickup the day before.
  • If you have an early-morning event on a Monday, you will need to choose MYLAR (foil) bouquets and Friday afternoon delivery/pickup.

You will be asked to choose bouquet options on this form. There will be written descriptions of each bouquet, but no photos. It might be helpful to familiarize yourself with bouquet options on the pages below before you start to fill out the form.

DO NOT pick any dates more than 2 months in advance. Our student staff changes every semester, so this is an important limit for us to impose from a quality control perspective. If you submit too far in advance, the person who handles your request might have graduated, been promoted, or left for other pursuits by the time the order comes around.


Blackout Dates

SORC is closed and is therefore not able to accommodate any orders at these times:

  • Fall Break (October 15-18)
    • November 13th-17th
    • Thanksgiving Break
    • Winter Break
    • Outside regular SORC business hours*
      • Mornings before SORC opens
      • Weekends, when SORC is closed (sometimes we make exceptions)
    • Spring Break
    • Between semesters
    • Memorial Day Weekend
    • Independence Day 

    Delivery is not guaranteed from May through end of August. We do not always have available drivers in the summer.

     

    Delivery window

    We ask for a 90-minute delivery window. We have just one vehicle to deliver all orders, and our delivery drivers are students. They don't always have the flexibility of delivering within a short time frame. Please give us the biggest window you can.

    This is a request only; a Student Balloon Coordinator (SBC) will respond within 3 business days to confirm pricing and verify other details. If no one has responded after 3 business days, please e-mail balloonteam@umich.edu.

    In the Summer, SORC opens at 11:00AM weekdays only. If your event starts before 12PM or takes place on a weekend, please choose the previous business day and select mylar (foil) bouquet options. You will need to arrange for an overnight storage location.

    We need 7 days advance notice for balloon orders. If you pick a date that is less than 7 days in advance, we may not be able to accommodate your order. We will correspond with you if that is the case.
