Submit a Proposal 2024
The Joe Center for the Arts is currently accepting proposals for workshops, classes, presentations, screenings, demos, performances, etc.  All proposals require the information below and must include a title and a 100-word or less abstract about the structure and goals of the proposed event.

All necessary information is required for your proposal to be reviewed. 

When a proposal is approved we will provide an agreement for review and signature to move forward. We'll also collect any additional information needed to complete and prepare for scheduling and marketing. Please gather any high resolution (300 dpi) images, logos, photos, or graphics (jpg or png files only) to email that will be used in marketing once approved.

We must have a current W-9 form for our records if you are receiving payment for this event. If you are offering this event at no cost, you do not need to submit this form.

AGREEMENT FOR PROPOSED ADULT WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

Photo Consent:  By your signature, you agree that The Joe Center for the Arts (JCA) may use your photograph or photograph(s) of your artwork in the routine promotion of its classes and activities and for other non-commercial applications.

Enrollment:  We will notify instructors at least 2 business days prior to the workshop or class of the enrollment.  If enrollment meets the minimum number of students stated in the proposal, the workshop or class will take place.  

Instructor Pay:  All instructors teaching workshops or classes for adults are paid in the following manner. Instructors receive 65% of the stated fee from attending students.  The Joe Center for the Arts will receive 35% of the revenue from attending students to cover facility, administrative, and marketing costs.  Supplies are not included in this cost.  Members of The Joe will receive a discount on adult workshops and classes that does not affect the instructor pay.

Sales of Work:  Workshop/class instructors are allowed to display a number of their works demonstrating their medium.  Any sales of these items are subject to the standard commission rate of 40% to JCA and 60% to the artist.

Please Note:  As an independent contractor to be paid by The Joe Center for the Arts, it is understood that

There is no employee-employer relationship between yourself and JCA

You are not eligible to file for or collect unemployment benefits, nor are you eligible for workman’s compensation coverage

You are responsible for the payment of any income or social security taxes that may be required by the Internal Revenue Service

If you or JCA withdraw from the project, JCA will compensate you only for completed work. Notice of withdrawal by either party must be given in writing.
