Synopsis:
The paradigm shifts in education in recent years are the results of advances in technology and pedagogy, greater internet access, surge in the use of online learning platforms, mobile devices, and the acceptance of these technologies by teachers and students. Today’s students, who are regarded as ‘digital natives’, have vastly different and diverse requirements and expectations when it comes to learning. How can we keep up with the changing technologies and needs of students? This seminar focused on how technology is changing the way of teaching and students’ learning experience as well as enhancing their engagement. It also discussed the challenges and issues of adopting technological innovations, with sharing of experiences from the OUHK and other recent examples.
