WDC Shorewatch is a citizen science project. Volunteers watch from specific locations around the Scottish coastline, to find out if there is a Shorewatch site near you, visit
www.whales.org/Shorewatch.
To volunteer, you must attend a free training session where you will learn how to identify different species and how to carry out our designated Shorewatch methodology. From there, you will be able to access our equipment to carry out 10-minute surveys from your local site - as and when you like. There is no minimum time commitment, all of the equipment you need is provided and you will have ongoing support from Alice, Katie and Emma (the Shorewatch Team).
Please fill out the questions below to sign up to one of our WDC Shorewatch training sessions. The Shorewatch team will be in touch a few days before via email to send you more information.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with WDC Shorewatch
