Ada was beloved by thousands of HOSA students, so to keep her memory alive we are continuing a health professions scholarship for HOSA students who go on to pursue careers in healthcare. In the memory of Ada Toyama, we will provide up to $500 to 3-5 students every year.

Applicants must be accepted into or enrolled in a healthcare certificate or degree granting program. Students must have participated in at least two years of HOSA activities, maintained a GPA of 3.0 or above for the last year of school, and must submit a personal statement and one letter of recommendation from a local HOSA representative. HOSA leadership roles, participating in the national service project, and involvement in student leadership will all be beneficial factors in selection.
