RIPARIANET - Stakeholders perception

Project: RIPARIANET - Prioritising riparian ecotones to sustain and connect multiple biodiversity and functional components in river networks

Riparian zones (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riparian_zone) represent transitional habitats between the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Stream networks and their riparian zones provide a range of important ecosystem functions and services (e.g.  clean water and air,  contaminant filtering, and flood control)

Healthy riparian zones also support a large number of plant and animal species and are therefore crucial for the conservation of biodiversity at both local and regional scales.

The main objective of this questionnaire is to assess your opinion on the integrity of the riparian zones and associated biodiversity in river basins. We therefore thank you for taking your time (about 10 mins) to answer a few simple questions.

Your response to the questionnaire is voluntary and information provided will remain anonymous, unless you wish otherwise. All data will be treated in aggregated form and analysed for scientific purposes as part of the RIPARIANET project.
