RSVP for POGIL Workshop
POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) is a pedagogical practice that promotes student-centered learning, and has been used in chemistry, biology, math, CS, anatomy, and an array of other subjects. https://pogil.org/educators/become-a-pogil-practitioner/curricular-materials

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (breakfast at 8:30am)
Location:  The Boelter Library Learning Commons (8270 Boelter Hall)
Facilitators: Professor Heather Wilson-Ashworth and Professor Timothy Herzog
Topic: This one day workshop will introduce instructors to the scaffolding approach taken by POGIL, as well as discuss team formation, group facilitation strategies, and metacognitive skills development. Participants will explore these topics through POGIL-based activities, thus gaining first-hand experience on how to model a POGIL classroom.
