The responses given to me will not be shared with any identifying information except what you write.The information will be used only to receive input on how our members feel about their SCA experience. These responses will not be considered grievances or incident reports that would initiate an investigation for resolution.

If you decide you want to file a grievance or report an incident (in addition to answering these questions) the first step would be to contact a seneschal, the President of the SCA, or your Kingdom’s Board Ombudsman via email. Feel free to copy (cc) the DEI Officer on it at equity@sca.org.

Let me define some of the terms I use in the questions. Diversity is the presence of people belonging to different groups (racial, gender ID, sexual orientation, disability, cultural, socioeconomic status, etc). Equity is all members having equal access to opportunities in the SCA. Inclusion is being welcomed and truly valued. Feel free to compare and contrast your opinions and experiences at the local group level versus the Kingdom level.
