Thank you for your interest in Friends of the Library. We're a nonprofit organization powered by people in our community like you. We're brought together by our love of books and reading, literacy, and our library. Members/volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
Our fundraising activities consist primarily of donations, book sales, carved vintage book art, and sales from the Friends' Bookstore housed inside the Lebanon Senior Center. We also participate in local craft fairs and bazaars and hold an annual silent auction. We recently expanded to include an online shop on Redbubble.
Proceeds from our fundraising activities are used to fund arts, educational, and cultural programs at the Lebanon Public Library as well as purchase books, equipment, and other items not covered by the library's annual budget. This includes the Summer Reading Program, spring break programs, children's board books, library of things, and craft supplies for classes hosted by the library. We also help fund special projects like the children's room expansion.
