To celebrate the release of her new novel, FENCING WITH THE KING (in stores 3/15/22), author Diana Abu-Jaber plans to make sixty (60) virtual appearances at book clubs in which FENCING WITH THE KING is being discussed.

How to Enter: Enter by completing the form below. No purchase necessary. A purchase will not increase your odds of winning. Entries submitted other than in accordance with these Official Rules and Sponsor’s instructions will be deemed void. Receipt of a valid electronic entry will be determined by the time at which Sponsor’s computer servers record the entry. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of receipt by Sponsor. Limit one entry per book club. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the email account used for entry. Employees of W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. (“Sponsor”), including Sponsor’s subsidiaries and affiliates, and persons living in their households or participating with them in any book club are not eligible for this promotion. All book club members must be eighteen years of age or older and physically located in the United States.

An entry may be deemed void if it is in whole or in part late, lost, or misdirected or does not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, or misdirected entries; incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by entrants; lost transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic; technical malfunctions of the computer hardware, software, or any combinations thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to entrants’ systems. Entries subject to such events may be deemed void. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated means are void. In the event that technical or other circumstances compromise the promotion, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or terminate the promotion and/or to select winners from all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

Selection of Winners:

The first 60 eligible entrants will receive a digital file that includes a reading group guide for FENCING WITH THE KING, a video greeting from the author, a recipe courtesy of the author, and a virtual visit from the author. Winners must be capable of establishing a secure connection via Zoom, Microsoft TEAMS, or a comparable videoconferencing platform. If you are among the first 60 entrants, Diana Abu-Jaber will be in touch to arrange the date and time of her visit with your club.

Redemption of Prize:

Winning book clubs will be responsible for arranging access to the book club meeting for Abu-Jaber and book club members. Access to the book club meeting with Abu-Jaber may be shared with book club members only, and Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the meeting if for any reason Sponsor or Abu-Jaber believes that access has been shared with any person who is not a bona fide member of the winning book club. Sponsor and Abu-Jaber are not responsible for any technical or other failure that prevents a book club meeting with Abu-Jaber from proceeding as intended. No book club meeting may be recorded in any medium for any purpose or live streamed or otherwise made available in real time or for playback. Sponsor or Abu-Jaber may in its and her sole discretion terminate any meeting in which a winning book club member engages in any inappropriate behavior as determined by Sponsor or Abu-Jaber in its or her sole discretion including but not necessarily limited to behavior that is obscene, explicitly sexual, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, racially or otherwise offensive or objectionable, or encouraging of unlawful activity. The prize has no monetary value.
