Using the Law in Campaigning - Guide 101

Would you like to find out more about using the law to bring about social change? Perhaps you are already campaigning and want to use the law as part of your campaign? If so, then this free training is for you.

This introductory session will provide you with an overview of using the law in campaigning. It is important to note that the session will not be delivered by lawyers and does not constitute 'legal advice'. Therefore, if you are planning on using the law in your campaign it is important to seek one-to-one advice from a legal expert. In this overview session we will introduce:  

- Different forms of law
- Judicial review
- The pros and cons of using law
- Legal aid/pro bono work
- Examples of campaign success using the law
- Signposting to legal experts and further information
