Attorney Borrower pre-registration
NOTE TO ATTORNEY BORROWERS. Attorney Borrowing policies, a copy of which will be emailed to you upon completion of this form:

A $25.00 fee is required to open an Attorney borrowing account. Payment may be tendered by cash or check only.

Attorney borrowers must present their Rutgers Law Library card in order to check out books. Borrowing privileges are non-transferable. The attorney borrowing card cannot be used at other Rutgers libraries, cannot be used for interlibrary loan, and does not provide off-site access to electronic resources.

Attorney borrowers may borrow up to 25 books at a time from only the Law Library, from either branch. Not all Law Library books are available for borrowing.

Attorney borrowers may check-out available books for 6 weeks. Books may not be renewed.

Failure to return books on time may result in suspension or termination of borrowing privileges. Borrowers will be billed for the replacement cost of any lost materials, plus related re-stocking fees.

If this form is completed prior to your visit to the library, please allow 48-72 hours for the creation of a library account. Payment will be payable by cash or check upon your visit, at which time you will also receive your library card. Library staff will also scan or copy an ID for our records.
