A meatball, is a kofta, is a keftedes, is a albondigas.
Culinary traditions have always been shared, passed on, and inspired, giving birth to new iterations playfully built upon years of food history. A simple swap of a few ingredients can take you from Northern Italy, to Southeast Asia, from Eastern Africa, to Latin America. In our next dinner series, we will play with thematic food dishes that have strong similarities to each other found all around the world.
Because at the end of the day, a salsa verde, is a chimichurri, is a chermoula, is a pesto.

Salon dinners convene individuals in thought-provoking conversation around a thematic topic over a shared meal. The event’s hosts foster an inclusive environment where people can discuss different viewpoints, backgrounds, ideas, and stories through an engaging conversation in an intimate setting.
NEXT STEPS:
Attendee selections will be announced one week before the event, and if selected, you will receive a link and Google event invitation to book your dinner. **Cost is $70/guest, and paid at the close of the event.
Candid Fare's salon-style dinners happen two days a month from 7:00-9:30pm in Chicago, Illinois (typically Wednesdays & Thursdays). Each dinner location will be announced upon confirmation of reservation, and all backgrounds/ages are welcome.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
By submitting your information below, you will be entered in the drawing to be selected for one or two seats at our next dinner. We encourage our dinner attendees to meet and chat with a diverse group of new people, so we have limited the ticket numbers to two per party. Attendees will be selected at random and will be notified via email.
We require all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are feeling ill, or under-the-weather, please let us know, so we may reschedule you for another dinner.
Please let us know if you have any mobility or sensory impairments so we can best accommodate.
Dinners are intimate and can be cacophonous.
